gRegor`: twitter publish is working for other people, so i'm not sure what's going on. i'll keep looking
#
gRegor`
Ok. Let me know if you want me to run some tests / try something differently
#
snarfed
gRegor`: sure! the next more aggressive step is to de-auth bridgy inside twitter, on https://twitter.com/settings/applications , and then sign up again
#
gRegor`
My auto wm for twitter publishing earlier returned 400, could not find the twitter account for gregorlove.com
#
gRegor`
So then I logged in to try to publish via the form and got the 401.
#
snarfed
yeah i saw that too. odd.
#
gRegor`
Revoked from Twitter and signed in to bridgy again.
#
snarfed
gRegor`: thanks. disabled/reenabled publish too?
#
gRegor`
It still showed public capability, which I thought was odd. So I dis/re-enabled that before trying to post. No dice. :/
#
gRegor`
Can't find the twitter account for gregorlove.com
#
gRegor`
I should move those into <link rel>s
#
gRegor`
But haven't caused a problem yet
#
snarfed
gRegor`: sorry again for the trouble. i'll keep looking
#
gRegor`
Hm. Indieauth.com is also telling me my twitter link isn't found on my site.
#
gRegor`
Both are found when I re-scan, but after clicking the green twitter button: "https://twitter.com/gregorlove" was not found on the site "http://gregorlove.com". Try re-scanning after checking your rel=me links on your site.
#
snarfed
huh. looks like you did publish a tweet successfully via bridgy yesterday
#
aaronpk
gRegor`: might be a case sensitive thing
#
aaronpk
cause your site links to gRegorLove
#
aaronpk
that should be fixed on my site I think?
#
gRegor`
I'm going to try moving it to my <link rel>s and see if it matters.
#
snarfed
good guess. bridgy's domain lookup is case insensitive though
#
snarfed
(link preserves case but lookup ignores it)
fmarier and squeakytoy2 joined the channel
#
gRegor`
That's weird. Can log in to indieauth if I change the twitter name to all lowercase
#
aaronpk
that is my fault
#
gRegor`
snarfed: Were you saying you determined it's not a case-sensitive issue for bridgy? Or should I try again now that I have it all lowercase?
#
gRegor`
Want me to file an issue, aaronpk?
#
snarfed
gRegor`: case sensitivy isn't the bridgy issue, but i *think* the "can't find gregorlove.com" failure is transient, so yeah, please try again
#
gRegor`
Hey, hey!
#
gRegor`
It worked
#
snarfed
now the question is, what was the root cause, and what fixed it
#
gRegor`
On my end, the twitter link was moved into a <link rel> and made lowercase
#
snarfed
thanks! bridgy actually doesn't care about rel-me links though, so probably not that
#
snarfed
pls do retry your original replies that failed. the in-reply-to could still be the cause
#
gRegor`
Oh
#
gRegor`
Already manually cross posted them, but I'll let you know when I do an in-reply-to
#
snarfed
and thanks for helping debug!

aaronpk, I have often found that web server software docs are too complicated
#

#
tantek
instead of providing a simple answer/example up front and then expanding

not even talking about docs, I was only looking at stackoverflow or blog answers

#
sammachin
example request http://requestb.in/14iy5771?inspect
#
aaronpk
should be pretty well documented here https://indieauth.com/developers
#
sammachin
also do the codes expire and if so how long?
#
sammachin
trying to do it step by step for now
#
aaronpk
the codes do expire, I believe after 30 or 60 seconds
#
sammachin
ah that could be why I'm failing then!
#
sammachin
gets new code
#
aaronpk
hm wait a sec, I always forget how I did this
#
aaronpk
yes, 60 seconds
#
sammachin
also in the callback I get a me= param, I assume thats what the user entered as their domain but is unverified?
#
aaronpk
correct
#
aaronpk
it's so that you can (re)discover their auth endpoint if they delegated to one and verify at that auth server
#
aaronpk
(part of letting people delegate to auth servers of their choosing instead of everyone defaulting to indieauth.com)
#
sammachin
right
#
sammachin
working now :D
#
sammachin
right onto the hard bit of putting this together with the webrtc stuff

hopefully with have something to demo on saturday

nginx ssl cipher list for me, it might help: ssl_ciphers DHE-RSA-CAMELLIA256-SHA:DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA:ECDHE-RSA-AES256-SHA:ECDHE-RSA-AES128-SHA:DHE-RSA-AES128-SHA:AES128-GCM-SHA:AES128-SHA:DES-CBC3-SHA:!LOW:!MEDIUM:!RC2:!SEED:!MD5:!aNULL:!EDH:!RC4:!eNULL:!EXP:!ADH;

My biggest problem right now is figuring out how to import comments from Wordpress into Craft, keeping the relations to posts correct and separating out webmentions
#
ShaneHudson
Once I've done that, can more or less put it live properly :)

ShaneHudson: i assume you're familiar with http://codex.wordpress.org/Tools_Export_Screen ? should include post id and commentmeta for comments
#
ShaneHudson
Yeah, it's just the way of storing them are quite different etc. Going to need to compare by slug instead of post id. Shouldn't be hard, just one of those tasks I've been putting further down the list lol
#
ShaneHudson
Basically, Craft doesn't have a built in comments system. So I've made an Interactions channel for comments and webmentions that is separate to posts. So now I need to relate the two together (one post to many interactions). Posts and Interactions are the top level content structures, with note/article and comment/webmention etc inheriting :)

Will add it all to the wiki once it is live

Love #indieweb's POSSE concept: Post on your own site, syndicate elsewhere. Makes sense. Now needs to be easier. http://indiewebcamp.com/POSSE
