[Joe_Crawford] I think that’s a legit reading. Anything that allows user more overall self-determination tends to do that. Definitions of https://indieweb.org/Mastodon and https://indieweb.org/Bluesky (the two that come to mind when one thinks of decentralized social media in 2024) go into the ways they touch on IndieWeb and empower people to connect via their own sites.
